Connection to MTSD: We moved to Mequon in 2015 primarily due to the reputation of the public schools, and secondarily due to the low rate of local taxes. My wife and I have two sons currently at HHS and a son who graduated with distinguished academic honors from HHS in 2021. We also have a daughter at Lumen Christi, potentially a future HHS student.
What Restore MTSD Means to Me: I’d like to see all constituents’ viewpoints represented on the school board, and in the school buildings. My experience with my own children is that an excellent education is mostly a factor of excellent educators, therefore I believe that the school board’s focus should be on policies that support excellent teachers.
Why I am Running: I want to ensure that children of the community have access to an excellent education, and that tax dollars are spent wisely. I have had four children in two public school districts, parochial school, and homeschool. With my background in finance plus MBA, along with my perspective as a parent and taxpayer, I have the expertise and willingness to hold the district accountable for achievement and fiscal prudence.
Professional/Educational Experience: I’ve spent the last 20+ years working in information technology/data analytics. I graduated from Arrowhead High School, University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.S. Finance), and Loyola University of Chicago (MBA). I was a four-year Division I athlete at UW in swimming, and am a member of Lumen Christi Catholic Church.
